Cowgirls win pitching duel in weekend’s lone contest
STILLWATER, Okla. – The University of Houston Softball team dropped its lone game of the weekend to #15/#14 Oklahoma State, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at Cowgirl Stadium.
Redshirt junior Paris Lehman (1-2) suffered the loss for Houston (16-8, 2-2 Big 12) after earning the start, surrendering one unearned run on one hit and one walk in two innings in the circle. Oklahoma State's (17-6, 2-2 Big 12) Ruby Meyland (10-1) secured the victory, spinning her third complete-game shutout of the year.

2nd | Oklahoma State grabbed the lead in the second. After a runner reached on a two-out error, Megan Bloodworth hit a triple to score a run and put the Cowgirls in front, 1-0.
5th | Bloodworth continued her hot day at the plate in the fifth, hitting a solo homer to left field to extend Oklahoma State's lead to 2-0.
6th | The Cowgirls capped the scoring in the third. With a pair of runners on, a single through the left side allowed the lead runner to score, locking the final score in at 3-0.

Houston returns home for its rescheduled midweek tilt against Lamar at 6 p.m., Tuesday, before hosting BYU for a weekend set.
