Softball Announces Fall Slate

Eight-game slate features five opponents and three-game intersquad series
HOUSTON — The University of Houston Softball team unveiled its fall schedule, Head Coach Chrissy Schoonmaker announced Wednesday. All games will be at Cougar Softball Stadium.
The Cougars open the fall slate on Sept. 25 against Galveston College before opening October against Blinn College on Oct. 1.
Houston and Texas A&M Corpus Christi square off on Oct. 4 followed by an Oct. 16 showdown with San Jacinto College and an Oct. 23 clash against Temple College.
The Cougars round out the fall slate with the Red-Black series Oct. 26-28.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
Houston returns 10 players from the 2026 campaign including All-Big 12 Second Team honoree Makenna Mitchell. The Cougars welcome 12 newcomers to the roster which features the #39 rated recruiting class according to Softball America.
