THE SERIES

- Houston's last win against Texas in 2021 came in 11 innings thanks to a Tyler Bielamowicz walk off home run.
- The Cougars are 3-7 in their last 10 games against the Longhorns.
- Four of the last six matchups have been held in the Houston-metro area (2016 in Sugar Land, Texas).
QUICK HITTERS
- Second baseman Harold Coll hit multiple home runs in Lubbock and is on a team-leading six-game hitting streak after notching his third three-hit game of the season.
- Catcher Anthony Tulimero sprayed nine hits around the ballpark last week with a three-hit game against Rice and multiple hits in all four games. Tulimero is currently on a five-game hitting streak.
- Center fielder Jacob Schoenvogel has hit safely in four consecutive games after notching his first three-hit game as a Cougar.
- Catcher Jonathan French hit his team-leading seventh and eighth home runs of the season at Texas Tech. French has tied his single season-high for home runs (8) from the 2022 season when he was at Clemson.
- The Cougars have hit multiple hom runs in four-consecutive games.
- Houston's 10-game stretch not allowing a home run was snapped on Friday night at Texas Tech. The 10-game stretch is the second-longest in program history in the metal bat era.
- The Cougars snapped Lamar's Division I-leading 13-game winning streak with a 6-4 win on Tuesday. The Cardinals went on to sweep then #20 Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., over the weekend.
- Coll set a career-best with five RBI on Saturday against BYU, driving in two on a home run and then a three-RBI double in the eighth inning.
- Right-handed pitcher Duncan Howard gave up his first walk of the season in his fifth start on Sunday. He currently does not qualify for the NCAA lead in walks-per-nine innings after missing two starts.
- The Cougars' conference opening sweep of Baylor was just the fourth conference opening series sweep by a Todd Whitting team (2024, 2018, 2013, 2011).
- Murray's three-double performance against Louisiana was the first three-double game by a Cougar since Lael Lockhart Jr. at Memphis on 4/13/17.
- Coll broke the Astros Foundation College Classic record for stolen bases in a game when he swiped a career-high three bags against Louisiana.
- Houston's 27 runs against Prairie View were the most since 1993 when the Cougars scored 27 against Illinois State and tied for the second-most runs scored in a game in program history.
LAST TIME OUT
- Houston led after the top of the first inning when Tulimero homered but failed to retake the lead after Sam Houston scored two in the bottom of the first and second innings.
