Houston Baseball Announces Full Fall Slate

Cougars host three games at Don Sanders Field at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park
HOUSTON – Houston Baseball will play a four-game Fall slate with three games at Don Sanders Field at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park.Â

The Cougars open their home schedule with ULM visiting Space City on Oct. 10, followed by another home contest against Houston Christian on Oct. 16. Houston wraps up its exhibition schedule with a finale against UT-Arlington on Oct. 24. Admission is free for all home games with first pitch times being announced soon.Â

The Cougars open their calendar with an Oct. 3 tilt against Texas at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. Tickets for the game are on sale now.Â

Davis, who was named the ninth head coach in program history in June, is ushering in a new era for Cougar Baseball featuring a new-look roster which includes 38 newcomers. The transfer group was ranked the top class in the Big 12 and #8 in the nation in WAR added by D1Baseball while 64Analytics tabbed the Cougar class as the 28th best in the country and fourth best in the conference.Â

Davis' inaugural transfer class brought in a wealth of talent, including multiple Power 4-level transfers and Division I players of the year. Aaron Grant, a sophomore from Arkansas-Pine Bluff, was named the SWAC's Freshman of the Year while Khaleel Pratt, a junior from Eastern Kentucky, was the ASUN Freshman of the Year last season. The 2027 roster also includes Franklin Pichardo Jr., a Maryland transfer who hit .409 last season at Maryland, 2026 MLB Draft 14th-rounder Duante Bell II and incoming freshman Trey Robbins, who was a Top 30 left-handed pitcher in the Class of 2026.Â

Season tickets for the 2027 season remain available with those who purchase season tickets able to buy a season-long parking pass in the Blue Lot for $100. Houston's 2027 home schedule includes signature matchups against West Virginia, who advanced to the 2026 College World Series, Texas Tech and Utah.Â
