Off to a winning start in the season opener No. 3, Wasson took down Tyler Junior College in the singles match and paired with Jordan McCombs in the No. 2 spot to win 8-3 (Jan. 26)... in the No. 3 spot swept Grand Canyon 6-0, 6-0 (Feb. 8)...won gainst Stephen F. Austin in the No. 4 single spot,6-2, 6-1 and No. 2 doubles spot paired with Joanna Kacprzyk 8-1 (Feb. 13)... won the No. 4 spot defeating Northwestern State 6-0, 6-3 and in doubles teamed up with Joanna Kacprzyk in the No. 2 spot to win 8-5 (Feb. 17)...in the No. 5 spot, defeated McNeese State 6-1, 6-2 and again paired up with Joanna Kacprzyk in the No. 2 spot to win 8-3 (Feb. 18)...No.4 singles spot defeated Grambling State 6-2, 6-0 and No. 2 in doubles teamed up with Kacprzyk to win 8-1 (Feb. 22)...in the No. 5 singles spot won 6-0, 6-2 against New Mexico State ( March 8)...took on Sam Houston State in the No. 4 spot to win 6-0, 6-1 and paired with Liela Salek in the No. 2 spot to win 8-0 (March 12)...continued in the No. 4 spot to defeat Louisville 6-3, 6-4 (March 22)...again in the No. 4 spot beat University of South Alabama 6-2, 6-0 (March 23)...helped take down Southern in the No. 4 spot 6-1, 6-1 and in the No. 2 doubles spot paired with Kacprzyk winning 8-4 (April 12)... defeated UTEP in the No. 4 spot 7-5, 5-1 and in the No. 2 spot with partner Kacprzyk to win 8-6 (April 17).
Before Houston
Played one season at Mesa Community College after transferring from North Texas ... named 2007 All-ACCAC First Team after going undefeated at the No. 1 singles position in conference play ... lost only two games in league play ... team finished 10th at the NJCAA National Tournament ... made quarterfinals in No. 1 singles at the NJCAA National Tournament ... also qualified for round of 16 in No. 1 doubles at the NJCAA National Tournament ... tallied a team-best 15 wins in 2005-06 season as a freshman at North Texas ... went 5-5 at the No. 1 singles spot during spring season, which included a three-match winning streak (Feb. 4-11) ... won five of eight doubles matches paired with Aziza Aba Butain at the No. 2 slot ... compiled a 7-3 record during fall season ... dropped her first match at the Scarborough Specialties Open (Sept. 30-Oct. 2) in Flight A, but swept the rest of her competition to win the flight[apos]s consolation bracket.
