Malachi Lott, Kenneth Jimenez, Antoine Jean and Graysen Drezek honored in final home game
HOUSTON – Center fielder Tre Broussard rocketed his third home run of the weekend as the lead-off hitter for the Houston Baseball team in its regular season finale loss to Arizona on Saturday, 8-1.
Houston (29-24, 12-17 Big 12) recognized four seniors in Saturday's regular season finale. Right-handed pitcher Graysen Drezek and utility Malachi Lott each spent three years with the program, while catcher Kenneth Jimenez and left-handed pitcher Antoine Jean spent two years donning Houston on their chest.
Arizona (36-18, 18-12 Big 12) scored in three innings with crooked numbers in each including a four-run third inning.
The Cougars opened the scoring in the first inning when Broussard ripped his seventh home run, and third in as many games, in the first inning. Broussard finished the series with six hits and eight RBI.
In his final game at Schroeder Park, Lott recorded his third-straight multi-hit game, ripping three singles and finishing the weekend with eight hits. Lott also pitched the ninth inning before singling in his final at-bat at home.
