Three Seniors Honored Friday

Andres Perez, Aaron Lugo, Brady Fuller recognized on the first of two Senior Days
Houston (29-23, 12-16 Big 12) honored relief pitcher Andres Perez, who has not allowed an earned run in Big 12 Conference play, Aaron Lugo who ranks third on the team in RBI and Brady Fuller who has pitched in all types of scenarios in his time at Houston.
Arizona (35-18, 17-12 Big 12) scored nine runs in the second inning and then scratched singular runs across the plate in three additional innings before a two-run eighth.
Entering midgame due to injury, Kenneth Jimenez hit his first home run of the season in the third inning.
Center fielder Tre Broussard hit his second home run of the weekend in the seventh, ambushing the first pitch he saw for his sixth home run of the year.
The Cougars scored four runs in eighth inning on a trio of doubles including one off the bat of Broussard.
UP NEXT
The Cougars conclude the regular season against Arizona on Saturday at 1 p.m. honoring its final four seniors with a chance to win the final series of the season in the rubber match.
Houston will head to the Big 12 Conference Championship in Arlington, Texas to play a to-be-determined opponent on Wednesday at Globe Life Field.
