Cougars fall to #14/#14 Texas Tech on Sunday
LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Houston Softball team lost to #14/#14 Texas Tech, 3-0, in the series finale on Sunday at Rocky Johnson Field.

Allowing just one earned run, freshman Rylee Michalak (4-4) suffered the loss in the circle for Houston (20-19, 3-13 Big 12). Chloe Riassetto (6-2) picked up the win in relief, spinning four shutout innings and allowing one hit and one walk for Texas Tech (34-9, 14-1 Big 12).

2nd | Texas Tech took the lead in the second off back-to-back doubles that allowed Raegan Jennings to cross the plate, putting the Red Raiders up 1-0.

After an error allowed Texas Tech to put runners on first and second and a wild pitch put the pair into scoring position, a groundout to short extended the team's lead to two. Later in the inning, Jennings drew a bases-loaded walk to push home another run and stretching the edge to 3-0.
