Wildcats Win Sunday Finale

HOUSTON – The Houston Baseball team dropped the final game of the series against Kansas State 9-3 on Sunday from Don Sanders Field at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park.

Kansas State (17-6, 5-1 Big 12) scored seven runs over the seventh and eighth innings to sweep the series. The Wildcats scored two runs in the seventh to take the lead and then cemented the win with a five run eighth on six hits in the inning.

Houston (14-9, 4-5 Big 12) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a lead-off home run off the bat of right fielder Cary Arbolida. The senior tied the game in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly.

UP NEXT
Houston will take on Lamar in a midweek game on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. from Schroeder Park before heading north for a three-game set at TCU Thursday-Saturday. The game against Lamar will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
