SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS. The Knights are also 2-0 in American Conference play while holding a 10-2 overall record. UCF is limiting its opponents to 47.7 points per game, which ranks third nationally. The Knights average 11.8 steals this season, which ranks 20th in the country, and rank 37th with 20.67 turnovers forced.
KEEP IT GOING. Houston is currently on a six-game win streak starting with a win against Jacksonville State on December 9 to the Cougars most recent win against Tulsa.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK. Laila Blair was named American Player of the Week for the first time on Monday. Blair was a two-time Freshman of the Week last season before being named All-Freshman team.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE. The Cougars are currently 6-0 when playing at home. The streak started with the exhibition against Texas A&M Commerce and then tallied home wins against Howard, New Mexico, Jacksonville State, Louisiana and most recently Tulsa. UCF holds a 3-1 record when playing at home while the Cougars stand at 2-3 on the road.
CONFERENCE PLAY. With its win against Tulsa, the Cougars moved to a 2-0 record in conference. Only Houston and UCF are undefeated with a 2-0 in conference play so far this season. Teams with a 1-0 record in conference play are USF, SMU and Temple .
AGAINST TULSA. Laila Blair led all scorers putting up 23 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists. Tiara Young, Britney Onyeje and Julia Blackshell-Fair also reached double-digit scoring while Young led the team in rebounds with nine.
