Houston Softball Loses Two at Cajun Park

Lafayette, Louisiana - The Cougar's lost two big games at the Lady Cajun Tournament in Lafayette, Louisiana on Saturday. The first game versus the Demons of Northwestern State, the Cougars got down early and were unable to recover the runs losing 7-2.
In the first inning against Northwestern, the Cougars let the Demons take an early lead. Northwestern put together four hits to score three runs in the bottom of the first. The score was 3-0 at the end of one.
Ray Ferreris began the scoring for the Cougar's in the top of the second, leading off the inning with a solo homerun, her fourth of the season. In the top of the third, the Cougars scored their second run on hits by Riane Netardus and Ali McDougall. The score after three, 3-2.
The Demons added their next three runs in the fifth, on hits by Lindsay Danzy, Krystal Nichols, and Annie Johnson. Shay Hunt of Northwestern scored one run in the bottom of the sixth making the score - Demons 7, Cougars 2 and this would also be the final for the game.
