Lady Cougar Softball Dominates Tournament Weekend

Houston, Texas - The women's softball team held their first home tournament this weekend in the new Cougar Softball Complex located on the University of Houston campus. Taking part in the tournament in addition to our Cougars were, Lon Morris College, Galveston College, Sam Houston State and McNeese State. The Cougars won games against Galveston, Lon Morris and Sam Houston State on Saturday and on Sunday took on McNeese for the win in the first game and took another one from Lon Morris The only game that slipped by the Cougars was there game against Galveston on Sunday.
The Cougars were pleased by the outing, impressed by the performance of Several newcomers that will possibly be key starters in the spring.
Cougar fastpitch will be in action again this weekend October 6th and 7th for The UH World Series. The games will be played at the Cougar Softball Complex located on the corner of Scott and Elgin Streets on the Campus of the University of Houston. The games do not count towards any records for any team
