PRE-HOUSTON (2006)
Signed with Arkansas out of high school and spent the fall semester of 2006 there but did not compete for the Razorbacks.
MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered for head coach Jeremy York... Recruited by Mississippi, Tulane, TCU and Baylor. Senior (2006): Helped lead the Mustangs to 21-13 overall and district championship... Was an All-District 18-5A First-Team pitcher after pitching to an 8-3 record with 73 strikeouts and a 1.79 ERA in 58.2 innings... Walked only 23 batters while holding opponents to a .172 average... Named to the Houston Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Team.. Also batted .330 with nine home runs. Junior (2005): Was an All-District 18-5A First-Team pitcher after compiling a 14-2 record with a 2.48 ERA... Earned All-Region First-Team and All-District 18-5A First-Team honors.
