PREVIEW: Houston Opens Big 12 Conference Play at Kansas State

Manhattan, Kan. — The University of Houston Soccer team opens Big 12 Conference action against Kansas State at 6:30 p.m. Friday from Buser Family Park.

The Cougars finished non-conference play with a record of 4-1-3 as they look to open Big 12 play with a win for the second straight year.

LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars defeated Texas Southern 6-0 on Sunday. Five different players recorded a goal, with sophomore Bailey Cate scoring her team-high-tying fifth goal of the season.

Houston took 21 shots, including 14 on target, while holding Texas Southern to only two shots.

The Cougars have allowed just five goals to non-conference opponents under Head Coach Ben Williams.
