SOCCER GAMEDAY GUIDE


POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Please see below for pertinent information regarding your upcoming visit to the Carl Lewis International Complex
Beer and hard seltzers will be sold will be sold at select soccer matches at the Carl Lewis International Complex. Outside alcohol of any kind is not permitted. All alcohol sales conclude after the 70th minute.
- You must be 21 to purchase alcohol. No exceptions.
- A valid ID is required to every sale.
- Limit two (2) drinks per transaction.
- No sales or service to anyone believed to be or who is visibly intoxicated.
- Underage drinking is illegal. Purchasing or providing alcohol to minors is illegal.
- Guests who violate this policy may be ejected and risk arrest and loss of ticket privileges.
Animals are not permitted inside the Carl Lewis International Complex with the exception of service animals trained to do work or perform task for guest with disabilities. Therapy, comfort, companion or emotional support animals are not permitted.
Banners and signs must be event-related, in good taste and cannot obstruct the view of other spectators. They may not contain derogatory or unsportsmanlike comments directed to the opposing team’s players or fans, game officials, or stadium personnel. They may not contain commercial messages, logos or political endorsements. All signs held by spectators must be no larger than 3 feet tall by 3 feet wide. The sign cannot be lifted via a pole or stick, must be held in the hands of the spectator. Any sign, flag, banner or poster may be removed, at any time, at the sole discretion of the Event Management team.
Cameras (still only) are permitted at the Carl Lewis International Complex as long as their use does not interfere with the game or other guests' enjoyment of the event. Pictures of the game are for personal use only and may not be sold. Tri-pods, mono-pods, multiple lenses and lenses longer than 8 inches are prohibited from use on the concourse or in the stands. Video cameras and video recording of events are prohibited.
The University of Houston Department of Athletics is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests. Our staff will proactively support an environment free from the following behaviors:
• Abusive, foul or disruptive language and obscene gestures
• Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption
• Behavior that is reckless, dangerous, materially disruptive or illegal in nature
• Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
• Sitting in a location other than the guest’s ticketed seat
• Any material disruption to the progress of the event by guest's actions, (including entering the court or throwing objects onto the court)
• Failing to follow instructions of arena personnel or law enforcement officers
• Verbal or physical harassment of the opposing team's players or fans, officials, or arena personnel
Continuing inappropriate behavior may result in the guest being ejected, arrested by police, or having his/her tickets revoked. All season-ticket holders are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons using their tickets. Fans who see someone violating the code of conduct should notify arena security or Event Management staff.
The Carl Lewis International Complex opens 60 minutes prior to the start of the games.
Should you need immediate assistance, please notify the nearest event staff member, security personnel or police officer. Guest are encouraged to report issues and concerns to any nearby event Event Management staff member.
In the event of a serious emergency at the Carl Lewis International Complex, all event staff, event security, police and Houston Public Safety emergency response agencies are ready and available to assist all guests. Pertinent information regarding the emergency situation will be provided over the public address system including arena televisions and scoreboards.
In a continuing effort to improve the fan experience and provide a safer environment for all guests, OpenGate screening technology has been installed at all entry points of the Carl Lewis International Complex. This enhanced security system allows for a faster and less intrusive entry process as guests will not need to remove their shoes, belts, watches or jewelry, as required at airports.
To help expedite the process, guests are advised to only bring items they will absolutely need for the event. Working personnel, including media, will be subject to screening and bag inspections.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
In conjunction with the NCAA and for the safety of our guests and employees, the following are prohibited:
• Alcohol
• Animals
except service animals (dogs) trained to work or perform task for guest with disabilities
Therapy, comfort, companion or emotional support animals are not permitted.
• Artificial noisemakers
• Backpacks or any bag larger than 4.5”X6.5”
• Cameras with lenses larger than 8 inches
• Coolers/bottles and thermoses – including metal drinkware
• Fireworks, open flames or flammables
• Firearms and weapons of any kind
• Illegal drugs
• Laser pointers
• Glass containers of any kind
• Outside food and beverage
• Personal transport devices (skateboards/hover boards/segways)
• Selfie sticks/tripods and other camera mounts
• Souvenir Cups
• Video cameras and the use of video capable devices
• Umbrellas
Any attempt to bring prohibited items into the Carl Lewis International Complex will be considered a violation of the Code of Conduct and may result in the guest being ejected, arrested or tickets being revoked. All persons and/or their belongings are subject to search. Violators of the rules of any State or City laws will be refused admission, asked to leave or ejected from Arena property.
In an effort to ensure the safety of our fans on game day, we are asking all spectators to notify UH Police Department, event staff personnel or Athletics Department Staff immediately if you see anything out of the ordinary while on campus or in the Fertitta Center. Call UHPD at 713-743-3333

GUEST EXPERIENCE
The University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to guests with disabilities. The Carl Lewis International Complex is designed with ADA accessible parking, restrooms, concessions and seating areas. All public entrances are ADA accessible. Concessions stands are cashless. Only credit or debit cards will be accepted.
Any use of unmanned aircraft systems require a permit application and University approval.
Items found but not claimed are taken to the University of Houston Police Department. The University of Houston Department of Athletics cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items. The Lost and Found number is 713-743-0620.

Restrooms are conveniently located near the main entrance of the baseball facility.
TICKETS
The University of Houston Athletic Ticket Office is located at TDECU Stadium in the northeast corner by Schroeder Gate 1 and Legends Plaza. To ensure a more contact-free and convenient fan entry experience Houston Athletics will use a digital mobile ticketing platform. Fans should download their ticket to their mobile device and place them in their digital wallet for safe contactless scanning at the gates. For more information, click here.
Houston Athletics strongly recommends fans to download their mobile tickets and parking passes to their mobile wallet on their smartphone prior to each home game.
Fans can call 713.Go.Coogs (462-6647) or visit the Houston Athletics Ticket Office from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Houston Athletics Ticket Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Schroeder Gate 1 and Legends Plaza. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium Garage visitor entrance.

Guests of University of Houston student-athletes may pick up tickets at the ticket table outside the gates of the Carl Lewis International Complex. Per NCAA rules, each person receiving a ticket must be present with a photo ID in order to sign for tickets.
Guests of players are required to enter the arena when they receive their ticket and must follow arena policies regarding no re-entry.
No refunds, exchanges or cancellations are permitted. Refunds will not be granted due to a game date or time changes. Check UHCougars.com for up to date game information.
The University of Houston Athletics Ticket Office is not responsible for any tickets that are lost. In case of lost or stolen tickets, please contact the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-Go-Coogs as soon as you recognize that the tickets are missing. On game day, please go to the Fertitta Center Ticket Office at either the Holman or Cullen Street entrances.
Patrons will be required to show their photo id, confirmation number (if available) and credit card, if applicable, that was used to purchase the ticket(s). Stolen tickets should always be reported to the local law enforcement agency first.

Ticket Usage Policy
All children ages 3 and older must have a ticket. No outside food or drinks are allowed in events hosted by or venues operated by the University of Houston Department of Athletics. The University of Houston is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets. Tickets obtained from unofficial or unauthorized sources, including but not limited to: ticket brokers, fraudulent, lost, stolen or duplicated tickets may be seized and/or canceled without refund.
The ticket holder, by attending the event, voluntarily assumes all risks and dangers incidental to the event he or she is attending, whether occurring prior to or subsequent to the actual event. This ticket is a revocable limited license to attend a specific athletic event. The University of Houston may in its sole discretion revoke this license and eject or refuse entry to the ticket holder for violation of terms and conditions noted herein, venue rules, illegal activity or misconduct. The ticket holder consents to all searches of person or property as a condition of entry and to confiscation of any and all prohibited items. Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice or any right of refund.
The ticket holder, by attending the event, grants the University of Houston, for the benefit of its Athletic Department, a non-exclusive, transferrable, perpetual and permanent right and license to use (and to sub-license the use of) his or her name and likeness if it is included in any broadcast, photograph, recording or display in any form of media of or relating to the event he or she is attending.
There are no refunds or exchanges for tickets. No re-entry into events hosted by, or venues operated by, the University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics allowed.

The ticket sales windows will open 60 minutes prior to kick-off on game days. Advance ticket sales are made through the Houston Athletics Ticket Office by calling 713.GO.COOGS (462-6647), online at UHCougars.com, or visiting the Houston Athletics Ticket Office, located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside Schroeder Gate 1 by Legends Plaza.
Student tickets are available to current enrolled students & may be claimed for each regular season home game on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Student ticket is good for general admission seating at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
- Students will be able to claim a ticket by logging into their account at uhcougars.com/students
- If tickets are still available, students can claim one on game day by showing their student ID at the gates of the Carl Lewis International Complex.
- Additional tickets may be released during the game, and students can claim their ticket by logging into their account at uhcougars.com/students or by showing their student ID at the Holman Entrance Ticket Office for admittance.
Valid Cougar Card in addition to game ticket is required for admittance to games

ANY ATTEMPT AT SELLING YOUR STUDENT TICKET OR ANY STUDENT EJECTED FROM A GAME WILL LOSE ACCESS TO TICKETS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR WITHOUT A REFUND AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES PURSUANT TO THE STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The visiting team player guest and will call is located at the table in front of gates of the Carl Lewis International Complex. Guests will be admitted when the gates open 60 minutes prior to kick-off. The visiting team may distribute tickets prior to this time, but that is the decision of each visiting institution.
If you are receiving tickets through the visiting team and have questions, you should contact that institution prior to game day. A photo ID will be required to receive the tickets.
