Tennis Reveals 2026 Fall Schedule

Cougars fall schedule includes six events concluding in Georgia
HOUSTON — The University of Houston Tennis team and first-year Head Coach Valeriya Zeleva announced the 2026 fall schedule on Monday.
The schedule consists of six events across September, October and November. The middle four events see the Cougars stay in-state, with the first competition in North Carolina and the last in Georgia.
To begin the fall, athletes will split to compete in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. (Sept. 19-27) or stay in Houston for the Rice Invite (Sept. 25-27).
Following a week break from action, Houston travels to Waco, Texas for the ITA Texas Regional Championship (Oct. 7-12).Â
The Cougars then head to Fort Worth, Texas for TCU's Battle for the Boot (Oct. 22-25) and the ITA Central Sectional Championships (Nov. 5-8).Â
To conclude the fall, the Cougars that qualify will compete in the Women's Division 1 Singles and Doubles Championships in Athens, Georgia from Nov. 17-22.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
First-year Head Coach Valeriya Zeleva leads the Cougars into the 2026-2027 Tennis season. Additional newcomers include three freshmen and Summit League standout Natalie Cinkova. The Cougars return four student-athletes following a historic 2025-26 season that saw the Cougars start the season 11-0 and finish the season ranked #48.
