Redmond extends hit streak to three games in loss
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team dropped its series finale, 10-0, against #25 Arizona State at Cougar Softball Stadium on Sunday.

The Cougars (20-28, 3-18 Big 12) were limited to one hit on the day, coming in the second inning via bunt single from sophomore Ariel Redmond. The single extended Redmond's hit streak to three games, good for her 43rd of the year.

Redshirt-senior Paris Lehman made her second start of the season in the circle, tossing 1.0 innings.Â

The Sun Devils (35-13, 8-10 Big 12) took the lead with three runs in the first inning, tacking on more in the third and fourth inning to secure the run rule win in five frames.

Houston prepares for its final home game of the season when it faces Sam Houston at 6 p.m., Tuesday. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.Â
