Schouten Wins Big 12 Singles Red Bracket, Cougars Earn 23 Wins on Weekend

WACO, Texas – Senior Sophie Schouten claimed the Big 12 Singles Red Bracket Championship and the University of Houston Tennis team earned 22 wins at Big 12 Individuals at the Hurd Tennis Center over the weekend.

Houston won 23 of its 33 matches over the course of the weekend and had Schouten and junior Elizaveta Morozova in the finals of their respective brackets. The 23 wins were the most of any team in the tournament.
