Cougars Travel For Final Road Trip

HOUSTON â€" The University of Houston women's tennis team hits the road for the last time in the regular season Friday, April 1 as they take on No. 32 William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA at 2 p.m. ET. The Cougar's will then turn around to face American Conference competitor East Carolina on Saturday, April 2 at 10 a.m. ET in Greenville, N.C.
Most recently, the Cougars traveled to Hanover, N.H., where they faced No. 46 Dartmouth in a tough-fought 6-1 loss. Houston secured a point on court three with Rocio Martin winning in the third set, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Martin has also found much success with her doubles partner, Despoina Vogasari on the top court, compiling a 9-3 record. They are backed by yet another powerful Cougar doubles team on court two, Tina Rupert and Maria Cardenas, who are 6-1 this season.
The Tribe picked up 2 wins last weekend, securing their first win against Yale 4-2 and then went on to defeat No. 64 Rice 5-2. Facing No. 91 Vogasari at the top court in both singles and doubles for William & Mary will be Elizaveta Nemchinov who picked up a victory over Rice's No. 103 Lindsey Hodge.
East Carolina will welcome the Cougar's for their first home match in five weeks. This match will follow a trip to Charlotte, N.C., to take on UNC-Charlotte on Thursday, March 31. Dominating the top doubles team for the Pirates are Nicole LaDuca and Celia Ruiz, who are 13-4 in the dual season.
UP NEXT FOR THE COUGARS
The Cougars will return home for their remaining two regular season matches beginning with conference foe Tulsa on Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at the Houston Country Club, followed by senior day on Sunday, April 10 against North Texas back at John E. Hoff Courts at noon. The first round of the American Conference Championship will kick off Wednesday, April 20 and will continue on to the Championship Match on Saturday, April 23 in Memphis, Tenn.

The Cougars are proud to introduce the Center Court Club, a restricted-giving program that directly impacts the needs of the University of Houston Tennis program. Gifts to the Center Court Club provide financial support directly to the University of Houston Tennis program for needs beyond the program's operating budget. Revenue generated from the Center Court Club is used at the discretion of the Head Coach for program enhancements. Membership in the Center Court Club is annual and requires a minimum $100 gift.

For a minimum gift of $100, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball.
ACE
For a minimum gift of $500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation and a stadium blanket.
US OPEN
For a minimum gift of $1,000, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket and a lesson from the coach.
GRAND SLAM
For a minimum gift of $2,500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket, a lesson from the coach and a group lesson from the coaching staff.
