Houston Adds Samantha Adams As Volunteer Assistant Coach

Houston - Former Texas Tech player Samantha Adams has been added to the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach, Head Coach Patrick Sullivan announced today.
Adams brings a multiple years of success at the Division-I level to the Houston coaching staff and will look to help guide the new generation of Cougars to even greater heights this season.
The New Braunfels, Texas native is a three-time NCAA Singles Tournament participant, two-time NCAA Doubles Tournament participant, and was a member of the First Team Academic All-Big XII team in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Adams left Texas Tech in third place on the career singles list with 85 victories, first place on the career doubles list with 90 wins, and second place on the combined career wins list with 175.
"We are very pleased to add Sam to our staff," Sullivan said."She was a strong leader and tough competitor on Big XII championship teams at Texas Tech and will be able to share those experiences with our program as we begin a championship tradition here in Houston. Beyond the great tennis résumé, Sam is an outstanding person with high character and strong values who is going to be a great role model for our student-athletes."
