GRAMBLING, La. - The University of Houston women's tennis team won in dominating fashion for the second-straight day, rolling past Grambling State Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0. The Cougars (2-1) dropped only two games in singles and doubles play in both combined matches this weekend.
"I'm happy with the results and getting two Division I wins on the road," said head coach John Severance. "We got everything accomplished that needed to be and we're looking forward to a big weekend at home."
The Cougar duo of Bryony Hunter and Giorgia Pozzan picked up where they left off after a successful fall season, routing the Grambling pair of Rodriquez and Kissim by a score of 8-0.
Joanna Kacprzyk and Elena Kazakova teamed up for the time to shut out Brown and Nichols at the No. 2 position to clinch the doubles point.
