Houston, Creighton, FGCU, Tennessee headline the Great Egret division over Thanksgiving Break
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The University of Houston Women's Basketball team has been selected as one of the four teams that will play in the Coconut Hoops Great Egret Division on November 27 and 29, bdG Sports announced Tuesday. The full 2026-27 schedule can be found here.
The tournament will be hosted at FGCU's Alico Arena, where Houston, Creighton, Tennessee and FGCU will compete in the Great Egret Division.
Houston will play Creighton in the first-round game at 3 p.m., CT Friday, Nov. 27, followed by the nightcap at 5:30 p.m. CT, when hosts FGCU take on Tennessee.
The winning teams will play in the championship game scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CT Sunday, Nov. 29, while the losing teams play a consolation match at 3 p.m. CT.

Coconut Hoops was launched in 2013 as the Gulf Coast Showcase. Past champions have included UConn, Stanford, Baylor, Texas, Notre Dame, Iowa and Michigan.

"This event continues to grow the game of women's college basketball and this strong field features some of the best brands in the game."

Seating inside the Fertitta Center for all Houston Women's Basketball games will be reserved starting at $100. Season ticket holders can also add a season-long parking pass inside the Stadium Garage for $75.
Fans who opt for floor, loge and club seats will have access to amenities in the Sideline Club such as complimentary popcorn and soft drinks. A concession stand and cash bar will also be located for fans in the Sideline Club.

- A meeting with FGCU would mark the third meeting in program history. The Eagles have won both meetings.
