Cougars host Longhorns at 6 p.m., Sunday
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer team hosts rv Texas at 6 p.m., Sunday at the Carl Lewis International Complex. Sunday's match is the team's Red Out match and fans are encouraged to wear red.
FREE red Houston Soccer t-shirts are available to the first 75 University of Houston students who show their student ID at the marketing table. UH students can also claim two tickets to Sunday's match.
Tickets for Sunday's contest against the Longhorns can be found here. The match will be streamed on ESPN+ with Matt Pedersen (play-by-play), Brooke Kirchhofer (analyst) and Vicente Garcia (reporter) calling the action. Live stats for the match can be found here.

Houston's match against Sam Houston was canceled due to inclement weather in the Hunstville, Texas area.

In their most recent match, the Cougars dominated St. Mary's (TX) with a 4-0 victory that included 27 shots and four different goal scorers.

Juniors Ava Shannon, Adelhia Ghonda and Jocelyn Chinea, and sophomore Casey Maddox each scored a goal while freshman Nadia Ortiz, Shannon and Maddox each registered an assist.

- Houston enters 2025 with a brand new coaching staff as Ben Williams was named head coach of the Cougars in February.
- Graduate Jaden Humbyrd, junior Kyrsten Kizer and sophomore Casey Maddox were named captains for the 2025 season as voted on by their teammates.
- Houston ranks sixth in the Big 12 Conference with 45 shots taken. The Cougars are averaging 22.5 shots per game through two matches.
