New system provides a more convenient and safe ticketing access experience
HOUSTON – With an increased emphasis in safety, security and convenience for fans in mind, all University of Houston Athletics ticketed sporting events have transitioned to a fully integrated mobile ticketing experience.
Â
With mobile ticketing, Houston Athletics fans enjoy various benefits, including reduced wait lines and quicker access into event venues, eliminating printing, delivery, loss or stolen tickets along with more convenient access and options in managing of tickets.
Â
In addition to eliminating physical touch point concerns, fans can securely manage their ticket accounts for all sports from their mobile device that will provide a more robust and safe experience when attending UH events.
 Â
From their digital wallets, fans can scan their mobile devices at the entrance for quick and easy venue access. And in the rare event a fan cannot make a game, the new system provides opportunities to resell their tickets on StubHub.
Â
"We are excited to introduce digital ticketing to our fans," Deputy Athletics Director David Tagliarino said. "First, this allows our fans to have limited physical contact with our game day staff upon entrance into our facilities. This will also allow fans to have a safe, convenient and expanded ticketing experience at our events. We continue to prioritize the health and security of our fans and are proud to provide this opportunity to give our fans continued flexibility and a seamless venue-entry experience."
 Â
Ticket distribution will begin in mid-August with information about parking coming soon. For more information or question, please contact the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or at tickets@central.uh.edu. Fans also can visit uhcougars.com/mobileFAQ for more information.
