
Davis, Triolo Play in NY-PL All-Star Game

Cougars help Blue All-Stars to 7-4 win
HOUSTON -- Former University of Houston Baseball standouts Joe Davis and Jared Triolo were teammates once again, playing for Team Blue in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Wednesday at Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island, N.Y.
Starting at first base, Davis opened the scoring for the Blue Team with a two-out, RBI single to left field in the top of the first inning. He later added another single for a 2-for-2 effort.
Triolo started at third base, as Team Blue defeated Team Red, 7-4.

For the summer, Davis had posted a .308/.351/.505 slash for the Lowell Spinners, going 36-for-117 with eight doubles, five home runs, six walks, 27 RBI and 17 runs scored heading into the All-Star Game.

Triolo is also enjoying a standout first season with the West Virginia Black Bears. Owning a .270/.340/.434 slash, he has gone 51-for-189 with 19 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 21 walks, 32 RBI and 25 runs scored.
