The Cougars improve their home-win record, 7-1
HOUSTON – The Houston Women's Tennis Team hosted Prairie View A&M to play a double-header at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m on Wednesday, at the Barbara Wallace Winston Tennis Facility. The Cougars swept the Panthers in both matches, 4-0.
FIRST MATCH - 10 A.M.
In doubles, Phonexay Chitdara and Jovana Vukovic dominated on Court 3, defeating Rama and Aranguiz, 6-0. At Flight 1, Ndindi Ndunda and Sophie Gerits clinched to secure the doubles point winning 6-4.
Diving into singles, freshmen Sophie Gerits and Stephanie Belovukovic posted a perfect score, defeating their opponents at Courts 3 and 6, 6-0, 6-0. Vukovic followed to win the first match for the Cougars, 6-2, 6-0.

SECOND MATCH - 2 P.M.
The Cougars were quick to snatch the doubles point. Vukovic and Chitdara maintained their perfect score in doubles, winning 6-0 at Court 3, while Ndunda and Gerits clinched again at Court 2, 6-0.
In singles, freshman Vukovic was the first to step off the court, beating Duran-Castellanos 6-2, 6-0 at Court 3. Mimi Kendall-Wolseley followed shortly after, getting the third point for the Cougars at Court 2. The junior from Boca-Raton defeated Lucia Garcia, 6-1, 6-1. To finish the match, Ndunda won at Flight 1, 6-0, 6-3.
