First pitch set for 6:30 p.m.; admission is free to the public
HOUSTON -- The reigning American Athletic Conference Champion University of Houston Baseball program will host its Red-White Game on Friday, Oct. 26, at Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park.
The Cougars will split into two teams and play a winner-take-all, 10-inning intrasquad game starting at 6:30 p.m. with free admission to the public.
The game marks the culmination of fall ball in which Houston hosted both San Jacinto and Blinn College in exhibition games.
In April, the NCAA announced a rule change allowing teams the ability to play two fall exhibition games against other teams without them counting against the 56-game, regular-season schedule.
