Houston Regional at Schroeder Park Set

HOUSTON - After being rewarded for its success and learning it will host an NCAA Regional for the second time in three years, Houston Baseball welcomes (2) Baylor, (3) Texas A&M, and (4) Iowa to Schroeder Park for the NCAA Houston Baseball Regional, set for this weekend.
After notching 40 wins (40-19), a regular-season American Athletic Conference and earning the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament following a conference tournament title, Houston Baseball earned a spot as one of 16 Regional hosts.
(2) Baylor and (3) Texas A&M will take the field on Friday, June 2, beginning at 2 pm. CT on ESPN2.
(1) Houston and (4) Iowa will meet at 7 p.m. CT Friday on ESPNU.
NCAA postseason baseball returns to Schroeder Park for the fourth time in program history and for the second time in last three years. Houston Baseball was selected by the Division I NCAA Selection Committee as one of 16 regional hosts for the 2017 NCAA Baseball Championship, set for June 2-4 (June 5 -- if necessary).
TICKET INFORMATION
The following timeline will be used by the Houston Athletics Ticket Office on ticket sales:
Sunday, May 28 - Houston Baseball Season Ticket Holders, Coaches Committee/Dugout Club and Corbin J Robertson Donors will receive an e-mail with access to purchase Regional all-session tickets.
Monday, May 29 - All other Cougar Pride Donors will receive an e-mail at 5 p.m. with access to purchase Regional all-session tickets beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday
Tuesday, May 30 - Houston Baseball flex plan and mini plan purchasers will receive an e-mail at 5 p.m. with access to purchase Regional all-session tickets beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday
University of Houston student sale begins 9 a.m. All-session tickets for $25 and Single Game Tickets for $5 each. You must show your Cougar Card to purchase tickets at the student rate at the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at TDECU Stadium. Each student is limited to one ticket per Cougar Card.
Thursday, June 1 - All-session tickets, if still available, will go on sale to the general public at 8 a.m. at UHCougars.com/tickets. Single session passes, if still available, will be available online to the public at Noon at UHCougars.com/tickets.
Single-game tickets may not be an option if all-session tickets sell out.

Along with the 2017 NCAA Regional, which is scheduled to begin on Friday afternoon, Schroeder Park, formally Cougar Field, also hosted the 2015 Regional following a regular-season American Championship and a 40-win season.
Houston hosted the 2000 Regional after winning the C-USA Regular Season and Tournament titles and went on to host a Super Regional that same year. Houston also hosted an NCAA Regional in 1999, finishing as the regional runner-up.
Overall, this will mark the Cougars' third NCAA Regional appearance in the last four years under head coach Todd Whitting and 21st in program history, while only serving as a host four times (2017, 2015, 2000, 1999).
The Cougars will enter NCAA postseason play with a record of 40-19 and has won the last six games, including an American Conference tournament title in Clearwater, Fla. last week, going 4-0.
