HOUSTON â€" Fresh off an impressive performance in the College Home Run Derby in Omaha where he finished second, Houston Baseball freshman Joe Davis has been named yet again, a First Team Freshman All-American by D1Baseball.com, the organization announced Wednesday.
A week after Davis became the first Cougar freshman position player in the history of the program to be named to Baseball America's First Team and the second Cougar in back-to-back seasons to earn a nod as LHP Seth Romero was a First Team selection a year ago, the Austin, Texas native earned his fifth Freshman All-America honor following his impressive rookie campaign.
