HOUSTON - Sophomore Desiree Bowen netted her seventh goal of the season on an assist by junior Selena Peters in the 33rd minute of play, but the University of Houston Soccer team fell 4-1 to Tulsa in American Athletic Conference action Thursday night.

Returning to the field Houston found its offense and was able to climb back into the game when Bowen connect off a slotted ball from Peters to spin on a Golden Hurricane defender to find the right corner of the net. The Suwanee, Ga. native notched her 13th career goal and seventh of the year, while Peters contributed with her fifth assist of 2016 and seventh career dish.
