HOUSTON - The University of Houston baseball team will wrap up its 2004 fall practice schedule Tuesday with the start of the annual Red & White World Series.
The start of the Red & White Series was originally scheduled to start later this week, but head coach Rayner Noble decided to move things up on Monday. The Cougar team was divided into two teams with assistant coaches Kirk Blount and Sean Allen leading each squad.
Game One of the Series will begin Tuesday with Game Two slated for Wednesday. Game Three, if necessary, will be played on Friday. All three games will begin at 4 p.m. and are free and open to the public at Cougar Field.
Houston, which finished fourth in Conference USA a year ago, has been practicing regularly since Oct. 11. The Cougars open their 2004 spring season when they compete at Minute Maid Park on Feb. 11-13.
