2013-14 (Redshirt Freshman)
Indoor: Competed in six meets for the Cougars... Recorded a personal best during the first meet of the season (Texas A&M Reveille Invitational) in the men[apos]s 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.81.
Outdoor: Ran the 800m in five meets this season... Improved each meet, recording his season best of 1:59.61 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight meet hosted by Rice.
2012-13 (Freshman)
Indoor/Outdoor: Redshirted entire seasons.
HIGH SCHOOL
Ran cross country in 2009-12 for Coach Carlos Quinones at Killeen High School... Was a member of the District Championship team in 2009 and 2010... Won the District 8-4A championship in the 400m and 800m in 2012... Qualified for the 2012 regional meet in both events... Also ran for the Five Hills Track & Field Club under Robert Griffin II (father of Robert Griffin III - RG3)... Won the 2011 AAU Regional meet in the 800m... Was a member of the Killeen High School basketball team that won district 2008-11... Member of National Honor Society.
PERSONAL
Jalen Wade... son of Tonya Keyes and Berwin Wade... Both parents work in the Army... Is the eldest of three boys: Jamari, Berwin Jr. and Antonio... Majoring in Health Promotions and aspires to be a Physical Therapist or a Team Physician after college... Enjoys playing basketball and sleeping... Says his parents are his biggest influence.
