Women’s Golf Unveils 2026-27 Schedule

Cougars to compete in 10 regular-season tournaments, starting September 7-9
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Golf program will compete in 10 regular-season tournaments, including four fall events, during the 2026-27 season, Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Rachel Pollock announced Monday.Under Pollock's leadership, the Cougars will compete in three time zones across five states as well as Mexico during the slate.
"I'm excited for this upcoming season! We have an incredible schedule across the U.S. & Mexico that gives our ladies experience against some of the best fields in college golf," Pollock said. I cannot wait to showcase our team and their talents twice at home in the spring. We look forward to hosting in February and seeing everyone out to cheer on our Coogs!"
FALL SCHEDULE
The Cougars open their 2026-27 season when they tee off at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo. Minn., on September 7-9 before competing at the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla., on September 19-21.
From there, Houston will take part in The Fin, hosted by Mississippi State and the North Texas PGA, at Freestone Lake & Golf Club in Fairfield, Texas, on October 19-21 before closing the fall campaign at The Clash at Boulder Creek at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev., on October 25-27.
SPRING SCHEDULEFollowing the holiday break, Houston returns to action to open the spring season at the Collegiate Individual at Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico on Jan. 30-31.
The Cougars return home to play host to a pair of events at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas. The home slate begins February 8 with the one-day Golf Club of Houston Invitational.
East Texas A&M, HCU, Illinois, Lamar, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Rice, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, UIW, UT Arlington, UT Rio Grande Valley, Texas (individuals) and Texas A&M (individuals) are scheduled to participate.
From there, Houston will play host to the Chevron Collegiate on February 22-23. The Cougars will be joined by Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, BYU, HCU, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Little Rock, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Rice, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech and UNCW.
Houston opens the month of March at the Lady Luck Invitational at Las Vegas Country Club in Las Vegas on March 1-2 before competing at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Ka'anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'I, on March 22-24.
The Cougars then close their regular-season schedule at the Huntington Bank Collegiate at Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas on April 5-6.
POSTSEASON
The Cougars take their first steps in the postseason when they compete in the Big 12 Championship at Las Vegas Country Club in Las Vegas for the first time on April 21-23.
The winner of the annual event receives the league's automatic bid to NCAA Regional play.
NCAA Regionals will be held May 10-12 at PGA National Resort (Palm Gardens, Fla., hosted by FAU/Palm Beach County Sports Commission); Sycamore Hills Golf Club (Fort Wayne, Ind.; hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne); Trinity Forest Golf Club (Dallas, Texas; hosted by SMU; Stanford Golf Course (Stanford, Calif.; hosted by Stanford); Old Barnwell (Aiken, S.C., hosted by South Carolina) and Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club (Franklin, Tenn., hosted by Vanderbilt).
The Top-Five teams from each of the six Regionals advanced to the NCAA Championships, set for May 21-26 on the North Course at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
ABOUT the COUGARS
Four letterwinners return from last year's team, which finished second at both the Big 12 Championship and the NCAA Simpsonville Regional and advanced to the NCAA Championships as a team for the first time in school history.
The Cougars competed as a team in NCAA Regional for the fourth straight season and were represented in NCAA postseason play for the 11th consecutive year.
Three-year letterwinner Ellen Yates returns for her senior season after competing in five tournaments a year ago, with a 21st-place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic to open her season. Junior Emilia Väistö competed in all three postseason tournaments and tied for 22nd at The Bear Brawl (October 28, 2025) and the Huntington Bank Collegiate (April 6-7).
Sophomore Sadie Adams competed in four tournaments during her freshman season a year ago and tied for 17th at The Bear Brawl in her first collegiate event while sophomore Chiara Brambilla appeared in three events.
Those veterans will be joined by newcomers Daniela Campillo Martinez (ULM), Jackie Gonzalez Howard (Wingate) and Zoe McLean-Tattan (ULM).
Pollock was hired in June to become the third head coach in program history following an award-winning career at ULM,
In five seasons at ULM, she led the Warhawks to two NCAA Regional team appearances and two individual qualifiers as well as an individual berth to the 2026 NCAA Championships. Her program won a pair of Sun Belt Conference Championships titles (2026, 2023) and produced two Sun Belt Conference Players of the Year.
