BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Houston Track & Field program opens the month of February at the Charlie Thomas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M, beginning Friday inside the R.A. "Murray" Fasken '38 Indoor Track. Â

The two-day meet begins at 9:30 a.m., Friday, with field events, multis at 11 a.m. and running events at 5:10 p.m. Competition resumes at 11 a.m., Saturday, with field events and multis followed by running events at 2 p.m. Â

ROBERT PLATT INVITE: KEY PERFORMANCESÂ
- At the Robert Platt Invitational, sophomore Evina Panagiotou set a school record in the women's pole vault. She claimed the victory with a program-record clearance of 4.21m to take down Rhian Clarke's previous mark of 4.20m set in 2001. Â
- Sophomore Esther Osisike placed second in the women's weight throw with a personal best mark of 19.94m to move up to fourth on the all-time program list. Â
- Senior Zaeda Houff also earned a personal best mark of 19.62m in the women's weight throw for the fifth-best mark in program history.Â
- Redshirt sophomore Ty Lott moved up to second on Houston's all-time program list with a mark of 20.43m for third place in the men's weight throw.Â
- Graduate Canaan Wharry recorded a personal best mark of 18.95m in the men's weight throw to move up to fifth in program history.Â
- Freshman Jada Stanford finished third in the women's 400-meter with a time of 56.34.Â
- Senior Ali Mack placed second in the pentathlon with 3,587 points. Â
- Junior Antrea Mita earned his first victory of the season with a clearance of 2.15m to win the men's high jump.Â
- Sophomore Cleo Agyepong collected the win in the women's shot put with a mark of 15.90m while Osisike placed second with her throw of 15.12m.Â
- Junior Cordell Nwokeji earned his third-straight men's shot put victory of the season with his mark of 18.32m.Â
- Junior Kevin Brooks earned third in the men's heptathlon with a personal best 5,331 points for the fifth-best mark in program history. In the final three events of the weekend, Brooks earned sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.53), eighth in the pole vault (3.75m) and fifth in the 1000-meter with a personal best time of 2:47.23.Â
- Sophomore Colton Harrison placed fourth with a personal best 5,194 points for the seventh-best outing in program history. Harrison finished 10th in the 60-meter hurdles (8.70), third in the pole vault (4.65m) and second in the 1000-meter with a personal best 2:43.42.Â
- Sophomore Kali Magana won the 600-yards with a time of 1:26.79 while freshman Destiney Verdin was the runner-up in 1:28.98.Â
- Sophomore Elijah Hernandez earned the top spot in the men's 600-yards with a personal best time of 1:11.02 and freshman Wiliam King IV finished third with a time of 1:15.62.Â
- Freshman Zac Miller won the men's mile with the third fastest time in program history at 4:00.64.Â
- Sophomore Remay Abraha followed in second place with a time of 4:03.03 for the fourth-best time in program history.Â
- Sophomore Addison Hite crossed the finish line second with a time of 4:50.85 for the fourth-best time in program history.Â
- Senior Kaycee McCoy collected her third-straight victory of the season in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 8.07. McCoy moved up to second on the all-time program list as she lowered her time by nine seconds.Â
- Senior Anthony Trucks earned the victory in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.78 and sophomore Noah Hanson posted a personal best of 7.89 to finish third overall.Â
- Freshman Bradley Lowman earned his first collegiate victory with a personal best of 6.75 in the men's 60-meter.Â
- Sophomore Norah Nwonumah crossed the finish line second in the women's 200-meter race in 24.39.Â
- Graduate Ryan Mulholland placed second in the men's 200-meter in 21.40.Â
- Sophomore Michaela Mouton claimed victory in the women's 300-meter in 38.85 while freshman Kamree Wolridge placed third in the 300 meters at 38.87.Â
- Freshman Dominic Harper won on the men's side at 33.86 and sophomore Damarien Jacobs finished second in the men's 300-meter in 34.01.
