Five Cougars conclude action, including two in the 110-meter hurdles final
EUGENE, Ore. – Five current and former University of Houston Track & Field athletes wrapped up competition at the 2025 U.S. Championships at Hayward Field, highlighted by senior Jamar Marshall Jr. and former Cougar De'Vion Wilson advancing to the 110-meter hurdles final on Sunday.

In the semifinals, Wilson earned the automatic qualifier with a season-best time (13.24) while Marshall Jr. finished fourth in this heat (13.34). In the final round, Wilson placed sixth (13.27) and Marshall finished eighth (13.53).

Senior Trey East III made his first career appearance at the U.S. Championships in the men's 400-meter semifinal with a 26th-place finish (48.61) on Friday.
Cougar alum Trumaine Jefferson made it to the finals in the long jump, finishing in seventh place with a mark of 7.90m. Â

Former Cougar Brian Barraza competed in the two events with a 10th-place finish in the 10,000-meters (29:30.79) and 18th place in the 5,000-meters (13:37.48).
