Jamar Marshall Jr. secures 60-meter hurdles school record
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Graduate Jamar Marshall Jr. set a new school record in the men's 60-meter hurdles on Saturday at the Don Kirby Invitational inside the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Â
Marshall Jr. posted a time of 7.60 in the preliminary round to advance to finals. The hurdler won the race with a school record time of 7.54 to take down De'Vion Wilson's previous mark of 7.55 set in 2024.
Â
Due to the altitude in Albuquerque, the time will adjust to 7.56 on the NCAA qualifying list.
Â
Sophomore Evina Panagiotou tied her school record mark of 4.25m in the women's pole vault, finishing 12th overall.
Â
On Friday, junior Antrea Mita placed fourth overall in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.08m.
