Cougars tee off in Second Round at Florida State Match Up on Saturday morning
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Houston Women's Golf program posted a score of 304 to stand in a tie for fifth following the First Round of the Florida State Match Up at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on Friday.
Competing on the 6,250-yard, par-72 course, junior Natalie Saint Germain finished the first day with a 75 to lead the Cougars and was tied for 17th.
Junior Moa Svedenskiold and senior Hyeonji Kang were tied for 25th at 76 while junior Alexa Saldana and sophomore Maelynn Kim were tied for 33rd at 77.
Florida State held the team lead with a score of 286 to hold a one stroke advantage over Illinois. Alabama (299) and Troy (303) completed the Top Four.
The Cougars joined Missouri and Tulane in the tie for fifth with North Florida (305), Indiana (305) and Kent State (307) completing the Top 10.
Florida State's Mirabel Ting stood atop the individual leaderboard with a 66 while Illinois teammates Yurang Li and Lexanne Halama and Troy's Victoria Stutts were tied for second at 70.
The tournament continues with the Second Round on Saturday and the Final Round teeing off Sunday morning.

For Saturday's Second Round, the Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from Troy and Missouri, beginning at 8 a.m. (CDT).
Kim begins the day off No. 1 at 8 a.m. (CDT) with Saldana (8:10 a.m. CDT), Kang (8:20 a.m. CDT), Svedenskiold (8:30 a.m. CDT) and Saint Germain (8:40 a.m. CDT) following.
