Tickets Available Friday for 2015 American WBB Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - All-session ticket packages for the 2015 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship will go on sale Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. ET via all Ticketmaster outlets. The Championship will be played in Uncasville, Conn. at Mohegan Sun Arena, March 6-9, 2015.
All 11 American teams will battle for the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The 2015 American Women's Basketball Championship will showcase the 2014 defending national champion UConn, WNIT Final Four participant USF, and three WNIT competitors in East Carolina, SMU and Tulane. UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, Temple and Tulsa will also contend for the title.
Houston had an outstanding run in their first American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship appearance. The Cougars upset Memphis in their opening game, 73-67, before falling to nationally-ranked Louisville in the Quarterfinals.
New Head Coach Ronald Hughey will lead the Cougars into his first postseason tournament at the 2015 American Championship. Hughey's team features nine letterwinners from the 2013-14 club, including Marche' Amerson, who scored 24 points in last season's tournament win over Memphis.
Package tickets to all 10 Championship games will be priced at $99 each, discounted by nearly one third of the face value. Ticket offices at all 11 American institutions will have all-session packages available, and tickets may also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office beginning Nov. 14. Daily box office hours at the arena are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. All ticket purchases are subject to additional convenience fees.
Tickets can also be acquired by phone or online. To purchase via phone, call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Both the Mohegan Sun website (www.mohegansun.com) and Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) will have packages available for online purchase. For group sales (10 or more) information and discounts, please contact the Connecticut Sun Group Sales Department at (860) 862-4000.
The American has also arranged for a bus service to Mohegan Sun Arena for the Championship. The roundtrip price from Manchester, Conn. or New Haven, Conn. is just $30 and tickets can be purchased by calling (800) 388-9218 or by emailing bus2champ@theamerican.org. Pickup and departure times and locations can be found at www.theamerican.org/bus.
Fans can watch the entire tournament on the ESPN family of networks. The first round and quarterfinal games on March 6 and 7, respectively, will be carried live on ESPN3. The semifinals on March 8 will be televised on ESPNU while the championship game on March 9 will air on ESPN or ESPN2.

Fans can take the first step toward the 2014-15 Houston Women's Basketball season by placing deposits with the Athletics Ticket Office at UHCougars.com or by clicking here . The deposit is not a fee and will go toward the cost of season tickets.
Under Hughey's leadership, the Cougars will play 11 contests against teams who qualified for NCAA postseason play a year ago with eight of those against American Athletic Conference rivals.
To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Athletics Ticket Stadium Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Gate 1 off Cullen Boulevard. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m., to 5:30 p.m.
All UH main campus students are admitted FREE to regular-season Women's Basketball home games with a valid student ID.
