HOUSTON - The University of Houston Swimming and Diving team announced a time change for its home-opening meet on Oct. 28 against Conference USA rival SMU and Oregon State, head coach Mark Taylor announced Thursday.
The tri-meet will begin at 10 a.m., Oct. 28 at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium. It was originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m., but the meet time was moved up after the Cougar Football team's game against UCF recently was moved up to accommodate CSTV's national broadcast.
All Cougar Swimming and Diving regular-season events are free and open to the public, which is invited to attend.
Taylor also announced that the Cougars' Dec. 18 home meet against Lewis University at Melcher Natatorium was cancelled, and that Colorado College would not compete at the Phill Hansel Duals Weekend meet on Nov. 3-4 at the CRWC Natatorium as originally scheduled.
The Cougars officially open the season on Oct. 13-14 when they travel to Las Cruces, N.M., to face host New Mexico State and Northern Colorado in two days of tri-meets.
