Four Cougars Compete on Day Two of NCAA Championships

Two athletes make NCAA debut
ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving team closed out day two of competition at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships inside the McAuley Aquatic Center on Friday.
Sophomore Alexia Duncan made her NCAA Championships debut in the 100-yard backstroke touching in 39th with a time of 52.48.
Senior Virag Peter landed in 17th in the 200-yard breaststroke after previously finishing 39th in last year's competition with a time of 2:08.93.
Freshman Maisy Woloszyn also made her NCAA Championships debut in the 3-meter diving competition scoring 290.40 points for a 26th place finish.
Junior Michelle McLeod took to the 3-meter for the second consecutive year landing in 22nd with a final tally of 293.35.
UP NEXT
McLeod will close out the NCAA Championships in the platform diving competition on Saturday. Preliminary events are slated to begin at 9 a.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
