HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston women's basketball team, in the midst of a season-long four-game road trip, looks to get back in the win column against Creighton University at the Omaha Civic Auditorium Tuesday night at 7:05 CST.
UH is coming off one of the worst performances in school history, a 62-35 loss to Middle Tennessee State on Nov. 22. It marked just the second time in the program's 35-year history, and the first since 1975, that UH was held under 40 points.
The Breakdown ...
UH is attempting to replace four starters and eight letterwinners from a year ago. See how they rank in terms of numbers against their opponents.
The Cougars have used two different starting lineups thus far this season with varying degrees of success.
Freshman Sha'Ratta Hawkins has been impressive in her first three collegiate games, leading UH in scoring.
Sophomore Ryan Meyers is averaging nearly a double-double this year
Following Wednesday's game, UH will hit the road for Manhattan, Kan., to take part in the Commerce Back Wildcat Classic this Friday and Saturday on the campus of Kansas State University. The Cougars face Saint Joseph's on Friday at 3 p.m. CST and will face either the host Wildcats or Texas Pan-American on Saturday at 3 or 5 p.m.
UH is in the midst of a season-long four-game road trip. For the rest of the season, the Cougars will play no more than two-straight games on the road. The Cougars return home for the first time in nearly a month on Dec. 10 with a scheduled matchup with West Virginia at 5:30 p.m. in Hofheinz Pavilion.
