15th Annual Cougar Classic Fun Run Held Saturday, August 30

The University of Houston will hold its 15th Annual Cougar Classic Fun Run at the Athletics/Alumni Center on August 30. The fun run will start in front of the UH Athletics/Alumni Center on Cullen Boulevard and the course runs around and through the UH campus. The race will end in Olympic style with the final 200 meters on the track inside the Athletics/Alumni Center.
There will be four different races. The first race will be a Little Cougar one-kilometer run at 7:20 a.m. The men's five kilometer race will start at 7:30 a.m. followed by a women's five-kilometer run at 7:40 a.m. The final race is a coed five kilometer walk that is scheduled to start at 7:40 a.m.
Awards will be given to the top 50 men's and women's runners and each runner who finishes the race will receive a commemorative cup. Runners can register for $20 on Saturday.
