Cougars tee off Monday morning at Bermuda Run Country Club in North Carolina
BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – The University of Houston Men's Golf program opens its NCAA postseason on Monday morning when it tees off at the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional at Bermuda Run Country Club.Houston will play 18 holes each day starting Monday with the Final Round teeing off Wednesday on the 7,013-yard, par-71 course.
The Top-Five teams from each NCAA Regional and the top individual not on a qualifying team advance to play at the NCAA Championships, set for May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Cougars will compete in NCAA Regional play for the sixth straight season and the 12th time during Mike Booker Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke's 17-year career at Houston.
In addition to the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional, those venues include: University of Georgia Golf Course (Athens, Ga.; hosted by Georgia); Traditions Club (Bryan, Texas; hosted by Texas A&M); Scarlet Course – Ohio State Golf Club (Columbus, Ohio; hosted by Ohio State); Trysting Tree Golf Club (Corvallis, Ore., hosted by Oregon State) and The Gallery Golf Club (Marana, Ariz.; hosted by Arizona State).

ABOUT the COUGARSUnder Dismuke's leadership, Houston will be represented by senior Hudson Weibel, junior Grant Doggett, junior Chi Chun Chen, sophomore Hsuan-Yi Chen and senior Bryan Hiskey II. Freshman Jayk Altic will be available as a reserve.
This season, Weibel leads the Cougars with a 70.55 scoring average and 23 rounds of par or better in 34 total rounds. The Dallas native has won three individual championships in 2025-26 to become the first Cougar to win 3+ titles in a season since Roman Robledo in 2013-14.
Weibel also leads the team with five Top-20 finishes and 13 rounds in the 60s. With his 64 in the First Round of the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational on April 4, he joined Andy Sanders as the only Cougars to record multiple rounds of 65 or lower during their careers.
For this stellar play throughout the season, Weibel was named to the All-Big 12 Conference Second Team in voting by the league's head coaches earlier this month.
Junior Grant Doggett stands second with a 71.82 scoring average and captured the individual title at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood Golf Club in Houston on Sept. 29-30. He was one of three Cougars to win individual crowns in 2025-26, joining Weibel and Hiskey.
Junior Chi Chun Chen ranks third among the Cougars with a 71.85 average and is second on the team with 16 rounds of par or lower, including a career-low 64 in the Final Round of the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La., on Sept. 9, 2025.
Doggett, Chi Chun Chen and Weibel each will be competing in the second NCAA Regionals of their Houston careers. Hsuan-Yi-Chen, Hiskey and Altic will make their NCAA postseason debuts.
TEAM FIELD
Houston will face #3 (1 seed) Virginia, #10 (2) Mississippi, #15 (3) Pepperdine, #22 (4) Georgia Tech, #28 (5) USC, #32 (6) host Wake Forest, #39 (7) Mississippi State, #37 (8) Little Rock, (9) NC State, (10) Kentucky, (12) Richmond, (13) Navy and (14) Presbyterian.
Emil Riegger (Maryland), Tyler Jones (Western Carolina), Harris Barth (Furman), Kelvin Hernandez (UNCG) and Dewi John (Charleston Southern) will compete as individuals at the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional.
TEE TIMES
For Monday's First Round, the Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from (10) Kentucky and (12) Richmond with a 7:55 a.m., split-tee start.
Hiskey begins the day off No. 10 at 7:55 a.m. (CDT) with Hsuan-Yi Chen (8:06 a.m. CDT), Chi Chun Chen (8:17 a.m. CDT), Doggett (8:28 a.m. CDT) and Weibel (8:39 a.m.) following.

HOUSTON in NCAA REGIONAL HISTORY
Houston will compete in NCAA Regional play for the sixth consecutive season and the 26th time in school history.
A year ago, the Cougars finished seventh at the NCAA Urbana Regional at Atkins Golf Club in Urbana, Ill. Wolfgang Glawe fired 69s in each of the final two rounds to finish 17th and lead the Cougars.
During its history, the Cougars have earned eight Top-Five team finishes in NCAA Regional play and captured the 1998 NCAA Central Regional title at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
Four Cougars – Michael Perras, Blair Hamilton, Brett Callas and Dean Larsson – have earned medalist honors in NCAA Regional Play – while 14 Cougars have enjoyed Top-10 individual showings.
