Freshman Shieana Hall records victory in triple jump on Saturday
PHILADELPHIA and WACO, Texas – The University of Houston Track & Field team concluded action at Penn Relays and the Michael Johnson Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Shieana Hall had a strong performance in the women's triple jump on Saturday. Hall recorded five jumps over 13 meters (43 feet), with the winning jump of 13.34m (4.1 m/s) taking place on her final attempt.

Senior Anthony Trucks placed second in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a wind-aided time of 13.60.

PENN RELAYS
Despite cold and rainy weather, the Cougars earned three third-place finishes on the final day of competition at Penn Relays.

Junior Ruth Agadama, sophomore Taylor Jackson, senior Matilde Ochoa and freshman Alexa Smothers opened the day with a seventh-place finish in the women's 4x100-meter relay Championship of America final with a time of 45.32.

In the women's 100-meter, Smothers crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 11.98.

Senior Louie Hinchliffe also took home third in the men's 100-meter with a time of 10.40. Freshman Sean Aigboboh followed in fourth at 10.44 while junior Jaelyn Reeves-Lile finished sixth with a time of 10.76.

Sophomore Damarien Jacobs, sophomore King Taylor, freshman Dominic Harper and graduate Trey East III took home third place in the men's 4x400-meter relay Championship of America final with a time of 3:07.00. Â

The women's 4x400-meter relay of freshman Kamree Wolridge, sophomore Carlysia Cresser, junior Michaela Mouton and freshman Jada Stanford finished seventh in the Championship of America final with a time of 3:37.07.
