Cougars host two day meet beginning Friday, sends three individuals to Mt. SAC Relays and Wake Forest Invitational
HOUSTON, WALNUT, Calif., and WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The University of Houston Track & Field begins a busy week beginning Wednesday and Thursday at Mt. SAC Relays, Thursday at the Wake Forest Invitational while closing action at home with the Tom Tellez Alumni Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
The Tom Tellez Alumni Invitational begins at 12:30 p.m., Friday, with field events, followed by running events at 5 p.m. Saturday action begins at 10:30 a.m. with field events, followed by running events at 1:30 p.m.
A hospitality tent will be available exclusively for Houston Track & Field alums and will open at 12:30 p.m., Saturday. Tickets are required for entry into the meet and access to the alum tent. Please visit UHCougars.com/TFAlumniDay to register.
Graduate Grant Levesque will compete in his first decathlon of the season at Mt. SAC Relays, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Junior Patrick Flowers will race in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase while sophomore Invida Maurina competes in the women's 800-meter at the Wake Forest Invitational.
LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend at the 44 Farms Invitational, freshman Sean Aigboboh, junior Antrea Mita and freshman Shi'eana Hall collected victories in their respective events.

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend at the 44 Farms Invitational, freshman Sean Aigboboh, junior Antrea Mita and freshman Shi'eana Hall collected victories in their respective events.
- Aigboboh ran a wind-legal and personal best time of 20.54 to win the men's 200-meter. His time set a new meet record at the 44 Farms Invitational. The freshman also placed second in the men's 100-meters with a wind-aided time of 10.21 (3.5 m/s).
- Hall collected the first victory of the day in the women's triple jump. She recorded a wind-aided mark of 13.26m (2.6 m/s) during the third round.
- Mita earned his first outdoor high jump victory this season. The junior cleared 2.16m on his third attempt to win the event.
- Sophomore Cleo Agyepong finished second overall in the women's shot put with a mark of 15.82m.
- Junior Jaelyn Reeves-Lile placed third in the men's 200-meter with a time of 20.66 (2.1 m/s).
- In the women's pole vault, sophomore Evina Panagiotou took home third place after clearing a season best mark of 4.20m.
- Both of Houston's 4x100-meter squads finished third. The women's squad of junior Ruth Agadama, senior Matilde Ochoa, sophomore Taylor Jackson and sophomore Norah Nwonumah ran a season best time of 44.96. The men's squad of sophomore Darius Rodgers, senior Danarrion Ard, freshman Micah Washington and Aigboboh recorded a time of 39.39.
- Senior Kaycee McCoy ran a wind-aided time of 13.15 (3.0 m/s) to take a third-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles.
