
Big 12 Conference Announces 2025-2026 Houston Women’s Basketball Schedule

Cougars set to start conference play on Dec. 21 in Morgantown, W. Va.
HOUSTON – The Big 12 Conference and the University of Houston Women's Basketball program announced the Cougars' league schedule on Monday.
Houston's 18-game conference slate features meetings with Texas Tech, Kansas State and TCU twice while hosting Iowa State, BYU, Utah, Cincinnati, Colorado and UCF at the Fertitta Center. The Cougars will take on West Viriginia, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Kansas, Arizona State and Arizona on the road.
Opponents were selected to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness. Game times and broadcasting networks will be announced in the near future.
Head Coach Matthew Mitchell will open his first season in the Big 12 on the road against West Virginia (Dec. 21) and play Iowa State (Dec. 31) for the home opener.
Houston opens the 2026 slate on the road against Oklahoma State (Jan. 3) before a two-game homestand against Kansas State (Jan. 7) and BYU (Jan. 10).
The Cougars travel to Lubbock to face Texas Tech (Jan. 13) and host Utah for the first time in program history inside the Fertitta Center (Jan. 17).
To close out the month, the Cougars go on the road to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State (Jan. 21) before closing out the road swing at Baylor (Jan. 25).
The month of February features five home games and four road contests. Houston opens the month at home against Cincinnati (Feb. 1) before heading over to Fort Worth to take on TCU (Feb. 4).
A two-game homestand sees Houston take on Texas Tech (Feb. 7) and welcomes Colorado for the first time inside Fertitta Center (Feb. 11). The Cougars will travel to Lawrence, Kan. to take on Kansas (Feb. 14) and return home to host TCU (Feb. 18).
Houston heads west for its final regular-season road trip traveling to Tempe, Ariz., for the first time in program history to face Arizona State (Feb. 21) followed by a meeting in Tucson, Ariz., against Arizona (Feb. 24).
The Cougars will finish their regular season at home against UCF (March 1).
All 16 teams will head to the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, March 4-8/9 to compete for the Big 12 Basketball postseason title.

Seating inside the Fertitta Center for all Houston Women's Basketball games will be reserved starting at $100. Season ticket holders can also add a season-long parking pass inside the Stadium Garage for $75.
Fans who opt for floor, loge and club seats will have access to amenities in the Sideline Club, such as complimentary popcorn and soft drinks. A concession stand and cash bar will also be located for fans in the Sideline Club.
