This season, Lasprilla and new Associate Head Coach Cabe Waters welcome the return of five letterwinners – including each of the team's Top-Four scorers – and one redshirt with a pair of newcomers.
A year ago, Houston tied a school single-season record with three team tournament championships and earned its highest seeding in NCAA Regional play. The Cougars competed in the NCAA postseason for the third straight season under Lasprilla and the ninth time in school history.
Moa Svedenskiold finished fifth at the NCAA Columbus Regional and qualified for the NCAA Championships as an individual. She became only the third Cougar to compete at the NCAA Championships, joining All-Americans Leonie Harm and Karen Fredgaard.
After tying for 10th at the Big 12 Championships, Natalie Saint Germain was named to the league's All-Tournament Team.
THE FALL SEASON
Houston opens the 2025-26 season when it tees off at the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.
Last season, the Cougars captured the team championship at the rain-shortened event with a score of 9-under 551 behind Saint German's team-leading score of 136.
Houston continues its fall slate at the Illini Invitational at Medinah at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill on Oct. 6-7 and at the Jim West Challenge at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas, on Oct. 19-20. The Cougars earned second-place team finishes at each tournament a year ago.
The Cougars close the month of October and their fall season when they compete for the first time at the Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNCW at Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 24-26.

Following the holiday break, the Cougars return to open the spring season at the Collegiate Individual at Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico on Jan. 30-31.
From there, Houston returns home to play host to the Chevron Collegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, on Feb. 23-24. The Cougars welcome a 17-team field, which includes Arkansas, Baylor, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Texas, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Texas State, ULM, UNCW and UTSA.
This will be the third straight season in which the Cougars will serve as proud hosts of the Chevron Collegiate.
Houston opens the month of March at the Lady Luck Invitational at Las Vegas Country Club in Las Vegas on March 2-3 before traveling west to compete at the MountainView Collegiate at The Preserve Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz., on March 20-22.
The Cougars close their regular season at the Veritex Bank Collegiate at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, on April 5-7. Last season, Houston swept the team and individual titles at this tournament. The Cougars posted a score of 869 to win by two strokes while Moa Svedenskiold won her second individual crown with a score of 6-under 210, thanks to a 66 in the First Round.
THE POSTSEASON
The Cougars take their first steps in the postseason when they compete at the Big 12 Championships at Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas on April 23-25.
The winner of the league's annual postseason event earns an automatic bid into NCAA Regional play.
NCAA Regional action will be held May 11-13, 2026, at one of six sites across the country. Those venues include University of Michigan Golf Course (Ann Arbor, Mich.); UNC Finley Golf Course (Chapel Hill, N.C.); Robert Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove (Huntsville, Ala.); Stanford Golf Course (Stanford, Calif.); Seminole Legacy Golf Club (Tallahassee, Fla.) and Ridgewood Country Club (Waco, Texas).
The Top-Five teams and the low individual not on a qualifying team at each NCAA Regional advance to the NCAA Championships, set for May 22-27 on the Champions Course at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
