FIU and South Alabama transfer joins Cougars
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Tennis program announced the addition of FIU transfer Petja Drame and South Alabama transfer Chems Doha Zeghlouli for the 2025-26 season.
"These two are the epitome of what we're building here," Head Coach Katarina Adamovic said. "They bring relentless energy, resilience and a blue-collar mentality that fits perfectly into our program's identity.
More importantly, they've both been part of winning teams, and they know what it takes to win. They're not just talented players, but they bring a mindset that raises the standard in our team from day one and we're excited to welcome them to Houston."
PETRA DRAME
A two-time Conference USA Champion, Drame spent most of the 2024 season on court five going 7-6 with a win over #23 Miami while going 2-1 in doubles play for the Panthers.
The Maribor, Slovenia, native won her singles match on court five in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Championships on the way to the program's third-straight conference championship.
As a freshman, Drame went 10-5 in singles with most of those matches on court six. She, and partner Valery Gynina, won seven doubles matches on court three.
Â
Prior to FIU, Drame reached a career-high #267 ITF Junior Ranking and was a four-time member of the Slovenian National Team. Drame is also a Slovenian Senior Masters Champion.

Â
As a sophomore, the Paris, France, native posted nine singles and six doubles victories after a stellar freshman season going 16-2 in singles play, including a 10-1 ledger from her primary court five. Zeghlouli finished the 2023 season with a nine-match undefeated streak that featured six wins.
