
Dove Takes Third at NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday

KeAyla Dove, Antrea Mita earn First Team All-America Honors
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – University of Houston Track & Field graduate KeAyla Dove earned third place while sophomore Antrea Mita garnered First Team All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday inside the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Dove finished third in the nation in the women's shot put with a mark of 18.91m (62-0.5). In addition to placing third, Dove earned First Team All-America honors for the second time in her career.
Mita placed eighth in the men's high jump for First Team All-America honors with his clearance of 2.16m (7-1.00). This marks Mita's first All-America honor and Houston's seventh in the indoor men's high jump, and first since Ivan Diggs' fourth place finish in 2008.

The Cougars open the outdoor season as they host the Kirk Baptiste Invitational on Thursday at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
Field events are scheduled to begin at noon with running events at 3:30 p.m.
