PREVIEW: Volleyball Continues Road Swing at RV Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. – The Houston Volleyball team returns to the court as it visits RV Colorado for a 2 p.m. CT, Saturday, tilt against the Buffaloes at the CU Events Center.

Houston couldn't contain #15 Baylor in a three-set loss to the Bears in its last outing on Wednesday. Alyssa Gonzales led the Cougars with nine kills while Houston out-blocked Baylor, 12.0-2.0.
The Cougars' middle duo of Kellen Morin and Rahmon sit in fourth and sixth in the Big 12 with 1.38 and 1.30 blocks per set, respectively. Houston is the only two Big 12 school with two players with at least 1.25 blocks pet set.
Head Coach David Rehr is in his seventh season at the helm of the Cougars. In his time with Houston, he's posted a 123-66 record, including a 73-33 record in conference play.
The Cougars have a strong record against the current Big 12 landscape, holding a 137-103 record against league foes all-time.
The Cougars' blocking effort has been a highlight for the team this season. Ranking 13^th in the nation with 2.85 blocks per set, Houston's mark currently sits as the team's highest since 1998 when the team amassed 3.03 per set. The total is the second most in the Big 12, behind only Arizona State's 2.89.
Redshirt senior Barakat Rahmon ranks second in the Big 12 and 23^rd in the country with a .423 hitting percentage.
